Despite losing a vote to eliminate Canada’s long gun registry, Prime Minister Steve Harper has vowed to continue the battle. In a statement that baffled followers of reason the Prime Minister said, “With the vote tonight, its abolition is closer than it has ever been.”

Conservative spokesman Dunning Kruger was less cryptic. “We can no longer abide by the will of the Canadian people. They are wrong about this!”  Kruger went on to connect support for the gun registry to rampant homosexuality and secularism in urban Canada. “Bunch of fairies,” said Kruger.

A vote to maintain the gun registry is seen as a set back in the Conservative agenda to dismantle the state.
