With the issuance of the Oliphant Report into former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney’s perfidy, Canada Post has announced it will commemorate the beloved old sleazebag’s crooked doings with a stamp.

The fifty-two cent stamp will feature profiles of Mulroney and his former collaborator, the internationally renowned swindler and broker of bribes, Herr Karlheinz Schreiber.

“We were bashing around a lot of ideas,” said Canada Post Official Commandante Ches “Ché” Woodrow. “There was a thought of putting an Airbus 320 on the thing, or maybe a stack of money symbolizing $2.1 million, but in the end we stuck with the two amigos.  It would have been three amigos but Frank Moores was slipperier than all of them.”

A special first day issue of the stamp will be affixed to an envelope stuffed with unmarked bills.

Further stamps featuring the former Prime Minister, commemorating the birth of the Bloc Quebecois and the death of the Progressive Conservative Party, are already in the design stage.

Naked corruption is a feature of Canadian political life that is too rarely celebrated.  The stamp will be officially released at a drunken meeting of old pals, hacks and co-conspirators at the Ritz Carlton in Montreal.  There is, according to Mr. Mulroney, “no whore like an old whore.”
